“FRIENDSHIP PARTY”

Procedure
Speaker: Dear guests, teachers and friends! We begin
our game show. Let’s meet the participants:
1st
team GREEN Motto:
All together we are strong!
2nd
team RED Motto: No reward without effort Just do it
Let me introduce our Judges. We ask you, judges, not
to be too critical and forgive our participants the mistakes they may make.
I’m sure our game show will be merry and
interesting. You will learn about sightseeing of Great
Britain and USA , play games and, of course,
have fun. Teams have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of English
and intelligence
So, you can see
a bright spinner. Every color or sector corresponds to a question. Questions
are quite different. Besides, there is a surprise for you - music break.
So let’s start. (music)
Yellow Sector
Each team is given a sheet of paper with
letters. You should write 8 words on the topic “Friendship”. One word - on
every letter. You have 1 minute. One
word – one point. More points – better score.
Letters are : H P E F R G W L. (music)
Pink Sector - Tongue Twister
Each team has 1 minute to practice two tongue twisters.
The best performer gets 5 points. (music)

Light Blue Sector – Music Pause
A student from the 11th form is going to
perform the song. Enjoy her singing.
Blue Sector – 10 Top Tourist attractions of the USA .
You’ll watch a video and try to remember
the attractions for tourists in the USA . You may write them down if you
want. More places you write more points you get.
Name them. Do not repeat the same place twice.
Orange Sector –
Game “Spin the Arrow”
Each team selects
a set of vocabulary and then practice matching the words with the images.
You have to click on the matching image to fire and
hit the target. Then we’ll check you score.
Rosy Sector - A
Tour of London
Listen to the recording and
pay attention to the famous places of London .
Write them down, more places you write more points you get. You have 1 munite.
(Big Ben,
Oxford Street, London Eye, London bus (double-decker), Tower Bridge, Houses of
Parliament, Madame Tussaud’s Museum, Tower of London)
Yellow Sector - Verb Spiral
Write irregular verbs (2nd form) in a
spiral: run, fly, write, drink, sing, come, blow, read, sleep, ride, eat, cut,
swim. (e.g. go-went) The team which
finishes the task first wins.
Summing Up.
So we came to our final part of the game. Jury,
please, count the total score.
Friends, did you like the game? Tell me your impressions. What was the
most interesting, or the most difficult? Do you want to have smth like that
