Theme :  My Dear Family.
Objectives: to learn new lexical material on the theme “My Dear Family”; to improve pronunciation; to exercise structure “ This is..”; to learn how to introduce the family; to develop the feeling of respect to the relatives,
Equipment: flash cards, projector,
Procedure:
I. Org.moment
Greetings:
T/: Good morning, boys and girls! How are you?
P.: We’re fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m  great, thank you. Take your seats, please.
     Warming up:
Smily: Hello, children! Im happy to see you again. Look at the pictures on the  blackboard. Name them. 
          e.g. a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a cousin, a granny, a grandfather etc.
Smily: So, let's guess the theme of the lesson. 
          We’re going to talk about our families today. The topic of our lesson is “My Dear Family”.


     II.  Reviewing the previous material.
Phonetic Drill. Sounds [θ] , [ð].
Listen and repeat: [θi:] - [ði:]а:] - [ðа:], [θe:] - [ðe:],  [θu:] - [ðu:].
This - thick, that - thin, mother - thank,  father - teeth, throw - though.


    III.  Main Part
Work with the new material.
Listen to the text.
Hi! My name is Dora. This is my family. This is my father, Borys. This is my mother, Olga.  This is my brother Tom and this is my sister, Alina.
What is the girl's name?
Is Dora's family big? 
How many members has she got?
T: shows cards of family members and P: name them. Then T. shows one card but name the wrong word.
e.g.”sister”, but shows “mother” P: correct the teacher.
Look and listen to Nata.
- Hi! My name is Nata. This is my family. This is my father. This is my mother. This is my brother and this is my sister. 
While listening, P: point onto the pictures of the members of Nata’s family.
What is the girl's name?
Is Nata's family big? 
How many members has she got?
Look on the screen and guessthe meaning of  words (relative, aunt, uncle,granny, daddy, daughter, son).
How many members of the family have you got?.

T/:Tell about your relatives? P. answers.

IV: Physical exercises. Song “If you happy…..”

Fill in the letters. Correct the words. P. write down into their copy-books.
         e.g. mot_er, fath_r, s_s_t_r, br_ther, a_nt, un_le..
Look at the screen and finish the sentences according to the pictures.

Read the text. Ex.3, p. 31
